Esposende is a small beach resort 45 min south of Viana do Castelo (1h from Porto). The kite spot is a flatwater river mouth lagoon — shallow, protected, ideal for beginners. Accessible by boat from Ofir or on foot from Esposende (short crossing needed). Compact but fun flat water playground. Less wind and less consistent than Viana but a great beginner/freestyle alternative. Nortada NW thermal in summer.
