Overview

Columbia Beach is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, between Qualicum Beach and Parksville, facing the Georgia Strait. This sheltered spot offers calmer conditions than the Pacific coast. Long sandy beach with shallow water, ideal for families and beginners. Thermal SE winds are common in summer.

Flat to slightly choppy water in the Georgia Strait. Sandy bottom. Very shallow for a long distance, especially at low tide. Moderate fetch from the southeast (mainland). Mild and predictable conditions.
