Île d'Aix is a kitesurf spot on the small Île d'Aix (Charente-Maritime), between Rochefort and the Île d'Oléron in the Pertuis d'Antioche. This car-free island offers unique riding conditions around its shores depending on wind direction — essentially omnidirectional by choosing the right side of the island.

Tidal spot. Access by ferry from Fouras. The island is very small (roughly 3km long) and popular with tourists — respect designated zones. Flat water in the sheltered channels. A historic island where Napoleon Bonaparte spent his last days before exile to Saint Helena.
