Overview

Gâvres is a kitesurf spot on the Gâvres peninsula (Morbihan, Brittany). The village of Gâvres sits at the tip of a narrow sandy peninsula sheltering the port of Lorient. The outer Atlantic shore offers direct exposure to westerly winds with good swell, while the inner bay side offers flatter water.

Multiple launch options depending on wind direction. Tide-dependent. A hub for kitesurf in south Morbihan alongside the nearby Larmor-Plage spots.
