Second kitesurf access point on Lac de Naussac (48), on the north-west shore at Le Mas d'Armand, 500 m from the nautical base on the D34 towards Rocles. This launch is ideal for north-westerly wind — the cleanest direction on this high-altitude lake (965 m). Large open meadow for rigging, no obstacles. Sandy/gravel water entry — water shoes recommended at low water level. Parking in angled bays only near Le Mas d'Armand: limited spaces, do not block vehicle access. Kitesurf season: mid-April to end September. FFVL-labelled spot.
Intermediate
Open all year round
A few trees near the launch zone — easily avoided with basic precautions. Angled parking must be strictly respected. Autonomous level recommended. Avoid swimmers near the nautical base in summer. Do not drift into the wooded nature reserve at the lake edge.
North-West is the prime direction here: wind rolls cleanly down the full length of the lake, steadier than from the south, with slight chop possible. In fine summer weather, afternoon thermals can build a nice NW. North wind can be poorly oriented and disturbed at this access point.
