The Col du Lautaret spot is a bit like the mecca of this sport. Promoted by a team of local riders through the Snowkitemaster (equivalent to the Snowkite World Championships) for more than 20 years, the Lautaret is a legendary spot, easily accessible (roadside) with great possibilities to climb to the surrounding summits. While the areas close to the road are accessible to beginners, as soon as you want to climb a bit, your skill level will need to quickly match the slope's curve. Of course, you'll need to equip yourself accordingly (shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver).
