L'Aerium is a FFVL-approved kitesurf spot on the Bassin d'Arcachon (Gironde), on the Arès beach in front of the picnic area. Best winds are South-East and South. The riding area is between the sandbank east of the sailing club mooring zone and the east tip of the Arès clinic. An information sign is posted at the spot entrance.

Ideal navigation window: 2 hours before and after high tide. At very low tidal coefficients the water is too shallow. In summer, navigation is strictly forbidden in the 300m swimmer zone at the nearby Saint-Brice beach to the east. Beware of trees at the edge of the launch zone. Access straight down Boulevard de l'Aerium from Arès town centre.
