Saint-Pierre-Quiberon - Penthièvre Baie is the sheltered bay side of the Quiberon isthmus, facing east into the Quiberon bay. Flat water in north to northwest and west winds. FFVL-labelled beginner spot — no ocean swell, protected from the Atlantic. Seasonal spot (April to October). Very different character from the ocean side.
Access from Saint-Pierre-Quiberon, bay side (east). Flat water sessions in north, northwest, west wind — giving cross to cross-onshore conditions on this east-facing bay. In summer: respect bathing zones. Best conditions: mid to high tide for maximum water depth in the bay. Sessions April to October.
Sheltered flat bay water — completely protected from Atlantic swell. Sandy bottom. Large tidal range. Sessions best from mid to high tide. No currents compared to the ocean side. Ideal for learning and foiling.

North, northwest, west and southwest winds give cross to onshore conditions on this east-facing bay. The Quiberon peninsula to the west provides shelter from direct Atlantic swell. Thermal cycle consistent in summer afternoons from the southwest to northwest.
