A spot with 2 completely different faces on each side of a huge dune that you find on the left when going down to the beach.
You need to walk 5-10 minutes to get past the swimming area and reach the kite zone.
The first side facing the ocean: an area with nice waves and a huge zone dedicated to launching and setting up kites. Plenty of space to navigate and launch, you just need to manage the waves well.
The second side facing the estuary: completely flat, shallow water except in the channels, difficult for foils. The spot is not huge and the kite school uses it for lessons, so you need to be reasonable and find your navigation zone. Only navigable around high tide.
You can move from one area to the other while riding, but beware of the (shallow) depths and tidal current.

Local association recommendations
FFVL certified spot
Required level
Beginner
Spot opening date
Open all year round
Restrictions: in summer at low tide, the swimming area moves to the kite zone for swimmers' safety (SNSM), so the kite zone becomes reduced. The surf school and swimmers have priority, and the safety distance between activities must be respected. The kite launching area is at the end of the beach.
Parking
Parking on the north side (avenue de la plage). Very crowded.
Hazards
Caution, since the storms, significant sand movements have revealed a rocky area downwind and strong currents. Summer 2022, the sandbank has grown much larger compared to what I've read here and on other sites (like https://intranet.ffvl.fr/sites_pratique/voir/2300)
Wind specificities
From NW to South. For the estuary area, it's clearly better with W to SW winds.
