Parking
Access is relatively easy, after 2.5km of sand/gravel road you will arrive at a huge parking area right by the water where it's even possible to come with a camper van.
Personally, we even spent several nights there (best done off-season).
Hazards
By west wind (offshore), the wind carries toward open sea — NEVER go alone. Rocks close to shore near the cliff. Stronger wind in the middle of the gulf than near the beach — choose your kite size accordingly. Strong dévente near the cliffs — don't approach. Respect swimmers. In summer, heavy motorboat traffic in the gulf of Santa Manza — avoid crossing.]]>
Wind specificities
Like the entire southern tip of Corsica, you need to adapt your spot (move around) according to the Mediterranean wind direction whether it comes from East or West.
For real-time wind on the spot, see the Winds'up beacon: http://m.winds-up.com/index.php?p=spot&id=1641
BEACH SPOT
EAST WIND: Balistra is a spot that exploits its full potential in EAST wind. It blows regularly onshore
WEST WIND: About 10 knots more than on the West coast, the wind blows more irregularly offshore (so not ideal for beginners unless you take lessons with Max and his boat from the Natural Ride school).
LAGOON SPOT
WEST WIND: Regular and offshore wind (not a problem as there's the bottom)
EAST WIND: More gusty but onshore wind
